Kind Soup is a private, moderated community for people caring, unpaid, for someone who needs it.
Boilerplate
Kind Soup treats caregiving as what it is: unpaid work with shifts, logistics, paperwork and no coworkers. It is a closed community where caregivers can say the parts they leave out when people ask how they are doing, and share the good days nobody else understands either. Circles are small, closed, and moderated by caregivers. A post can be marked as a vent, which tells the room the writer wants company rather than suggestions, or as a good day. The author of a post can hide any reply to it. Nothing is searchable and there are no public profiles.
What makes it different
The house rules are enforced by the software, not written in a help centre and hoped for.
- Vent mode refuses advice as it is written. Mark a post as a vent and a reply beginning “have you tried” is rejected at the moment someone sends it, not reported afterwards.
- Anonymity is structural. Members cannot read the table that holds who wrote what. Anonymous posts pass through a view that removes the author before the data reaches a phone. A moderator can reveal an author, and that act is recorded against the moderator by name.
- Good days have their own marker. A first word, a decent night, a nurse who was kind. It sits beside the vent marker as an equal, so celebrating never reads as off-topic in a room full of hard things.
- Care marks instead of introductions. Dementia, autism, hospice, rare disease. They sit beside a name so nobody opens with their backstory.
- Taking a post outside is the one first-offence removal. Screenshot, forward, or repeat it elsewhere and the account goes. No warning, no appeal.
What it is not
Kind Soup is not a medical service, a therapy service, or an emergency service. There is no crisis line and no way to summon help through the app. Moderators are caregivers who look after circles; they are not clinicians and they are not on call. If you are writing about caregiver distress, please do not describe Kind Soup as somewhere to turn in a crisis. It is not built for that and saying so would put someone at risk.
Availability
On Google Play for Android. Free to join, with no advertising. The company does not sell member data and does not use anything written on Kind Soup to train machine learning models.
Brand assets
The mark is a bowl with three wisps of steam. The steam is deliberately uneven; three of the same height read as a barcode.
The name is always two words, both lowercase in the wordmark, capitalised as “Kind Soup” in running text. Never “KindSoup”. Please do not recolour the mark, set it on a busy photograph, or stretch it.

On cream, which is the default:

On dark, which is a separate set rather than the same one inverted. Clay and plum sit at about 3.1:1 against the dark ground, which goes muddy at the size a logo is actually seen, so these hold the same hues at higher lightness and saturation:
