The Kind Soup Care Score
KS2 means regular help.
Regular practical help on your own terms. Your week still belongs to you.
What somebody at KS2 is doing
If somebody told you this is their number, this is roughly what their week looks like.
- Regular practical help, on their own schedule.
- Shopping, appointments, paperwork, a standing visit.
- They can still make plans and keep them.
It measures the work, not the illness
The Care Score is 1 to 10 for how much care somebody is actually giving. Two people looking after someone with the same diagnosis can be at KS3 and KS9, because what separates them is hours, nights, whether the person can be left, and whether anyone else helps.
KS0 is reserved for people who cared for somebody until they died. It is not a diagnosis and it is not medical advice.
