The Kind Soup Care Score
KS8 means home nursing.
The work is medical as well as personal, the nights are broken, and almost none of it is shared.
What somebody at KS8 is doing
If somebody told you this is their number, this is roughly what their week looks like.
- The work is medical as well as personal.
- Medication schedules, wounds, equipment, possibly injections or a tube.
- A nurse would be doing some of this in any other setting.
It measures the work, not the illness
The Care Score is 1 to 10 for how much care somebody is actually giving. Two people looking after someone with the same diagnosis can be at KS3 and KS9, because what separates them is hours, nights, whether the person can be left, and whether anyone else helps.
KS0 is reserved for people who cared for somebody until they died. It is not a diagnosis and it is not medical advice.
