The Kind Soup Care Score
KS6 means constant supervision.
They cannot be left for long. Your own appointments, work and friendships are taking the hit.
What somebody at KS6 is doing
If somebody told you this is their number, this is roughly what their week looks like.
- The person cannot safely be left for long.
- Leaving the house requires somebody to cover, every time.
- Work and their own health are taking the hit by this point.
It measures the work, not the illness
The Care Score is 1 to 10 for how much care somebody is actually giving. Two people looking after someone with the same diagnosis can be at KS3 and KS9, because what separates them is hours, nights, whether the person can be left, and whether anyone else helps.
KS0 is reserved for people who cared for somebody until they died. It is not a diagnosis and it is not medical advice.
